1. 종단연구
변화함수의 형태를 결정하고 변화에 있어서의 개인차를 설명하는 모형인 잠재성장모형 (latent growth models)과 다층모형
(multilevel models) 을 적용하여 연구를 수행한다. 예를 들면, 청소년기의 변화에 있어서의 개인차 연구, 조직원의 조직에 대한
태도변화에 있어서의 개인차 연구가 이 분야에 포함된다.

2. 심리측정 연구
문항반응 이론 (item response theory) 과 요인분석 (exploratory/confirmatory factor analysis)
등을 적용하여 성격 및 태도검사를 개발하거나 기존의 검사를 타당화하는 연구를 수행한다. 예를 들면, 심리검사의 문항이 측정하고자 하는 개념과의
관련성 여부, 검사의 차원성 검증, 척도 수 (3점 척도, 5점 척도)에 대한 타당성 검증 등에 관한 연구를 한다.

3. 방법론
연구
심리학을 비롯한 사회과학 분야에서 많이 사용하는 요인분석, 구조 방정식 모형과 같은 방법론에 관한 연구를 수행한다. 예를 들면, 요인분석을
하는데 필요한 표본 수를 결정하기 위한 시뮬레이션 연구, 구조 방정식 모형에 대한 검증력 연구 등을 한다.
